Food rebalancing and weight loss: tips and a trap to avoid

What is food rebalancing?

New revolutionary method? Or complete fumigation? 😉

No need for diet or diet , …

To see all that can be found on the internet lately, it would be THE new ultimate way to lose weight without effort.

But hey, people tend to exaggerate, lie etc … so we do not really know what to think.

That’s why we’re here to analyze all this 😉

What is this rebalancing food that is all the rage?

By definition, food rebalancing is about restoring a balance in your diet and necessarily implies that this balance has been lost.

It implies that a balance is broken and that is why you gained weight or continued to take it.

You will have to relearn how to eat by following certain rules, and thanks to this new learning and its application, you will finally be able to lose weight.

The food rebalancing is distinguished by the fact that it wants to be different from a “classic” diet, it stands out precisely because it does not reproduce the typical yoyo effect of a diet.

Food rebalancing is based on the simplistic principle of ” eating better “

It implies to ban (or strongly reduce) bad fats, ban all that is industrial (prepared meals, chips, cookies, pastries, Nutella, etc …).

diet rebalancing diet

Without going into details, it means that you must eat everything, be it vegetables, meat, cereals, good lipids etc … but in limited quantities to no longer grow.

Without having to quantify each of the macro / micro nutrients, as part of the rebalancing, it takes sufficient protein intake, enough fat and carbohydrates and enough vitamins and minerals to avoid deficiencies.

EXIT the diet green salad, lemon, cabbage soup, Dukan, etc …

Therefore, a big advantage of food rebalancing is that it can be adapted to people who have a tendency to have problems such as diabetes or cholesterol.

So to summarize, thanks to the food rebalancing, you will be able to:

  • Eating in equivalent quantity
  • Do not be hungry
  • Have a better health
  • And lose weight

All that by eating healthy and well-balanced foods.

Well you can imagine that if I used the conditional is that everything is not that simple …

There is no doubt that there is some truth in all this, but, how to distinguish the true from the false ?

To get to the bottom of everything, let’s go back to BABA: How do we lose fat ?

(And do not answer me: “via a food rebalancing”) 😉

How do you lose fat?

To lose (or gain) weight, you have to unbalance a mathematical equation:

The equation of energy :

Incoming Energy – Outgoing Energy = 0

Do not worry, it’s just a slightly prettier way to say you have to be on a calorie deficit 😉

There is no way to derogate from this rule.

By cons, when does one really lose fat ?

To answer this question, explain how the fat loss works.

We always come back to this same schema:

Every day after each meal your body secretes insulin that will help carry fat cells .

Your body will therefore store fat for a given period of time (green parts) .

As soon as your body empties the stored reserves following the meal, it begins to burn old fat (blue parts).

As you can see, your body will mostly burn fat when you are fasting .

During a day, your body will alternate between the two phases, or both states.

When your weight does not move, the two phases are balanced over 24 hours: the blue and green areas have the same surface.

Mathematically, we can say that the integral of the curve that alternates positive and negative is zero.

More simply, it is said that you spend what you eat in terms of calories .

Now let’s move on to what interests us, how to lose fat:

To lose fat, the blue portions must be larger than the green portions.

You must be more often in the state of fasting than in the fed state.

Let it be clear: when you are full, you do not lose fat.

And depending on what you have eaten (and therefore insulin), it may last longer or shorter.

How would it be possible to lose fat if one is always full? Sounds logical, right?

To summarize, weight loss has no direct relationship (note the nuance), whether with sports or with food rebalancing or X diet, period .

But then what makes food rebalancing work to lose weight ?

Just the fact that people who used to slip a pot of Nutella a day without being stalled start to eat smarter (foods that cut hunger and are less caloric).

rebalancing food and sport

So to go back to what we said at the beginning:

Food rebalancing can be effective if you respect the rule of calorie deficit, if you do not respect it, you will not lose weight (but you will be healthier than if you continued to eat anything, which is always good to take).

The term “food rebalancing” is a marketing term that benefits from the credulity of people who are in a weak position.

So let’s avoid calling a cat by something else.

Food rebalancing IS a diet .

Besides, you can find a diet for everything, even for the GRIP!

The term diet is not reserved for weight loss.

This is a term describing a particular way of feeding on a given time (which can be very long).

To really make a mark, here is my definition of a good diet in my opinion:

A good diet is the diet that will instill us good eating habits while giving us pleasure.

Pleasure in the preparation and in the food itself, and especially pleasure through the best form and self-esteem that will climb crescendo.

And this is also what we advise on FeelShaped using various techniques: follow a flexible diet without losing the taste of life.

Rebalancing and weight loss – the word of the end

Well, to finish:

I will not play bad language, even if it’s a nice marketing term, the principle of rebalancing food is good: by eating better we are healthier .

But do not be fooled either: the rebalancing of food itself does not lose weight if your calorie intake remains unchanged.

It makes you lose weight since you usually go from a diet rich in fats and sugars to a diet rich in vegetables (very low in calories), fruits (generally low in calories) and proteins (oilseeds, fish, chicken, …).

This will lower your daily caloric intake and that will therefore make you lose weight.

It’s not eating better that makes you lose weight, it’s eating less 😉

But remember, all the same, to finish that you can only get good things by eating better .

And that if I criticize the rebalancing of food on the form (“new Grail of weight loss), the fund remains coherent as for him with regard to health”
